Our story began in February 1998 following a downscaling action implemented by the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa at Pelindaba, as a result, MMS was born.

​

Our experience gained at NECSA includes the manufacturing of special alloys, development of manufacturing processes, as well as serving as the metallurgical arm of the department responsible for the design, manufacture and maintenance of all rotational equipment used in the uranium enrichment process.

 

We have applied the rich experience gained to fulfil our mission to deliver exceptional services to all our clients through cutting-edge technology and a talented, dedicated team of highly qualified and well-trained employees. MMS strives to maintain top quality & adhere industry requirements through the governance of ISO 9001 & ISO 3834-2 to which we are accredited.

We take pride in the world-class quality we produce. MMS has 2200m³ of highly equipped workspace, made up of three business units, each of which houses a machine shop, welding facility & heat treatment zone.

 

All projects are done to client specifications. If no specifications exist, and it is required, qualification (WPQR) will be done according to the requirements of ASME IX or BS EN ISO 15614. All our welders are qualified to BS EN ISO 9606. these codes.
